Rededication

Rededication

In the midst of summer, sun, vacation, family time, and for me, a time of packing up to move, I feel the call of the Holy Spirit to draw closer – to reconnect and rededicate myself fully to Him. To surrender all and give it back to Him, once again. And as I do, a wonderful thing happens. I hear the Lord rededicated Himself to me and to us, His people. Not that He ever lost the dedication to us, like we might do to Him sometimes, but because we need to hear it again – a rededication and affirmation to us of His amazing love and joy over us. A long hard season of isolation, illness, loss and immense stretching is coming to an end, for many of us, and Jesus is affirming to us that He is still here. He is still the same. He still has a plan. And He still loves us very much.

The amazing thing about God is that He can be 100 percent present to me, and at the same time 100 percent present to you. He loves all His children with a full and complete love.

When I spend time in His presence I feel it, I sense it, I see it. I am completely loved by Him. I have His full attention and He loves me deeper than any person ever could. But at the same time my heart knows He loves you in exactly the same way. In a supernatural way that my brain might not understand, my heart knows that you are just as loved and important to Him as I am.

A love that conquers all
In the book of Hosea we read about an incredibly overcoming love. As a sign of His love for Israel, God told Hosea to marry a prostitute and every time she ran away from him to be with other men, he was to take her back. It’s an incredible story of a love that conquers all. To love someone even if they continue to hurt you again and again, and even if they do it on purpose. That’s what God wanted to show the Israelites, and that’s what He wants to show us.

Like the father of the prodigal son in Luk. 15, He is scouting for you and me. Just as an amazing father, this man loved the prodigal son just as much as the son who stayed home.

God wants you to know that He loves you no matter what. No matter what you have done or where you are in your life. No matter what the last season looked like. Whether you made mistakes or were successful. Whether you feel close to Him or far away. Whether you feel confused or ashamed or angry. He is re-committing His love to you today and He wants you to know that you are still completely loved by Him!

Our Heavenly Father is standing with open arms and eyes full of love saying, ‘__________, (put in your name) you are still completely loved and cherished and valued and accepted!’
